10U SOCCER PROGRAM
10U (9 & 10-year old's) New program with new guidelines

 NEW-Play with a #4 soccer ball
 NEW-Larger field size and goal
 NEW-Larger team and game sizes
 NEW-Institute goal keepers and introduce off-sides (build-out line)
 Shin guards required at practices and games
 Volunteer referee to officiate their own games

Region 1658 will be accepting registration for our 10U ‘co-ed’ program starting January 26th . The program will accept those children between the ages of 9 and 10. (Must turn 10 prior to January 1). This being our first secession of 10U soccer, our need of volunteers will be of even more demanding. Coaches, assistant coaches and referees are a must. If we do not have sufficient volunteers, the program will unfortunately be canceled. So, please help us in getting these necessary volunteers. The projected changes to this program will greatly depend on the number of players that register.

Such changes are:
1. Larger team size. Minimum of 8 and maximum of 10 per team
2. Larger game teams. Games played with maximum of 7 and minimum of 5 per-side
3. Larger field size. (Length=55-65 yds and Width=35-45 yds)
4. Larger goal size. Limits: (Height=6.5’, Width=18’)
5. Larger ball size. Use #4 soccer ball
6. Longer game time. 2 each, 25-minute halves
7. Goal keepers initiated 8. Offside called, using ‘build-out’ line

NOTE: Any or all of the above 8 possible changes may be modified if there are not sufficient number of players in this program, or the program will be cancelled. If we end up with only enough for two teams, we may simply select ‘teams’ randomly each week for the games. We cannot implement this program unless we have help and support. Also remember that EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.
